Budget is the value brand of Avis Budget Group, and in Lebanon it is operated by FMC (Fleet Management Company), which runs the largest leasing fleet in the country. That scale gives Budget customers the reach of a major operator - and a modern, well-kept fleet - at some of the lowest rates on the market.

Independent comparison sites consistently list Budget among the cheapest suppliers in Lebanon, with economy cars from around $23 a day. Its network covers Beirut airport around the clock plus branches across Beirut and the northern suburbs. Reservations are made on the official website, www.budget.com.lb (opens in a new tab).

Reasons

Why choose Budget in Lebanon

  1. 01

    Budget-friendly rates, international brand

KAYAK ranks Budget the second-cheapest car rental supplier in Lebanon, with recent listings from $23 a day for a Hyundai i10, $27 for a Suzuki Dzire and $43 for a Kia Sportage. For visitors on a budget or residents who need a car for a few weeks, that pricing is hard to beat from an international brand.

  2. 02

The largest leasing fleet in Lebanon

Budget's operator, FMC, runs the largest leasing fleet in the country. Cars rotate through that fleet regularly, so rental customers get recent models with low mileage, and companies get a leasing partner with the scale to supply and replace vehicles quickly.

  3. 03

The coolest cars in the market

Budget Lebanon is known for a fleet that turns heads: current-generation models, fresh colours and well-specified trims rather than the base versions most value brands run. You pay budget rates for a car you actually want to be seen in.

  4. 04

    Quality focused

Low prices do not mean low standards. Vehicles are serviced on schedule, cleaned between rentals and replaced while still young, and the reservation team is reachable by phone, email and WhatsApp seven days a week.

  5. 05

Open 24 hours at Beirut airport

The Budget counter inside the terminal at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a short walk to the car park and a key drop for late returns - useful for the night-time arrivals that are common on flights into Beirut.

  6. 06

Branches across Beirut and the suburbs

Beyond the airport, Budget has offices in Kantari (downtown Solidere), Achrafieh, Hamra, Sin el Fil and Dbayeh, so you can collect a car near your hotel or home rather than travelling to the airport.

  7. 07

A global brand with worldwide coverage

Budget operates more than 3,000 locations in over 120 countries across every continent, and Budget Lebanon is part of that network. Reserve from anywhere on budget.com, the major travel platforms or budget.com.lb, with an international confirmation, the same service standards and the global customer care you would expect from Budget anywhere in the world.

Background

Budget Lebanon: history

Budget Rent a Car was founded in Los Angeles in 1958 to offer cheaper rentals than the established brands - hence the name - and today operates in more than 120 countries as part of Avis Budget Group.

In Lebanon the brand is operated under licence by FMC (Fleet Management Company) SAL, a Lebanese fleet specialist that has grown into the largest leasing fleet operator in the country, supplying vehicles to companies as well as to rental customers.

In October 2017 FMC took part in the first rental fleet securitisation in Lebanon and the Levant, a USD 25 million financing led by MedInvestment Bank that was described at the time as the largest asset-backed securitisation executed out of Lebanon. The transaction funded further fleet growth.
